Politis – Smart : Les déboires de la coopérative anti uberisation

La coopérative de travail indépendant a été placée en redressement judiciaire lundi 28 février et un plan social doit supprimer une moitié des postes de permanents.

C’est une figure de l’économie sociale et solidaire qui trébuche : la branche française de la « Société mutuelle des artistes » (Smart) a été placée en redressement judiciaire ce lundi 28 février par le tribunal de commerce de Lille. Le groupement de coopératives voulait réconcilier le cadre protecteur du salariat avec la souplesse du travail indépendant, en permettant à des travailleurs autonomes de se verser sous forme de salaire le fruit de leur travail, afin de cotiser aux fonds sociaux.

Arrivé en France en 2009, Smart incarnait, avec d’autres coopératives d’activité et d’emploi, l’espoir d’une alternative viable à l’ubérisation du travail et comptabilise 100 000 membres dans 8 pays européens. Mais cette promesse « d’entreprise en commun » comportait un risque juridique.
